In addition to a saxophone, Santa also brought Brennan a box of hats for dress up. Today his favorite was the clown hat. Add in his tap shoes and it was a self made comedy show. We're still not sure where he learned to bow at the end of his performance, but we'll believe it when he says "Boppa showed me!"

Singing in the Rain
What's a kid to do on a rainy day? A little tap dancing always makes the rain go away! Watch out Fred Astaire!

Exploring!
We may live in the city, but we sure enjoy exploring the nature around us! Today at the North Park Nature Center we had three different deer sightings - each more exciting than the last. First we saw a beautiful doe staring at us from behind a tree, next a large buck jumped in front of us (too fast for a photograph!) and last we came face to face with this beauty. No special camera lenses here - we were probably less than 20 feet from this amazing creature!
Although our own little deer had been hoping to see some ducks at the Nature Center, he seemed pretty impressed with the deer - and tried a few antlers himself!

A Day in the Park
'Restless Rainbow' by Pae White
Friday's weather seemed made for a day down time where we could take in all the wonders that are Millennium Park! We enjoyed dipping our toes in the fountains,
flying kites in the pavilion (till we were nicely asked to stop by security),
and checking out the new roof top exhibit at the Art Institute.
We also enjoyed a splendid picnic on the grass while listening to the Chicago Symphony prepare for that night's concert.
Just doing our part to raise our own little 'Culture Vulture'!

If You Give a Brennan a Muffin
On a gloomy Thursday, Brennan and Mommy took a note from one of his favorite books, 'If You Give A Moose A Muffin', and made jelly muffins. Mommy did the measuring and B did the scooping - we both enjoyed the tasting!
