Chow Time!
Anyone who has been around when Brennan is eating knows the boy enjoys his food. For several months he has enjoyed finger feeding himself all sorts of yummy tastes. Recently we started "practicing" eating with utensils...the results have been humorous - and messy!

Everybody loves Brennan
Brennan received several sweet Valentine's Day gifts, but perhaps his favorite came in the form of a card from Aunt Jess.

Weekend Fun
Brennan and Company had a fun filled February weekend in the snowy city. After a relaxing day at home with Daddy, we all went to Auntie April's and Uncle Vince's for Mardi Gras. Brennan couldn't get enough of Mommy's vegetarian jambalaya with hot sauce - but he wasn't allowed any Hurricanes! Sunday found us taking a walk and checking out the snow. B wasn't a huge fan but did seem to enjoy the fresh air. On Monday we visited one of our favorite winter haunts, the Garfield Park Conservatory, where Brennan was able to crawl around in the kids section, explore all sorts of fun plants and watch the big fish swim around. If only all weekends could be so lovely!

Over the Hills and Through the Woods
Brennan spent his first Thanksgiving down in Mississippi with his Grandmamma D and Daddy Pat. He had lots of fun entertaining his great-grand parents, playing with his cousins, even opening his first Christmas presents. The week finished off watching his first Egg Bowl (MS State vs. Ole Miss), and of course, State won!!!

Splash!
At some day care centers and pre-schools, they have an expensive device called a Sand and Water table. These tables help with the development of fine and gross motor skills.
We here in the Dorvacs Household have a slightly, shall we say, less sophisticated version...

First Halloween
Brennan's First Halloween was weeks in the making! To guarantee it was the perfect day, he put lots of planning into each element.
He asked his favorite partner in crime, his cousin Sean, to help him find the perfect pumpkin.
Once the
pumpkin was found,
he carefully carved it himself.
He then tested out his costume on both the
native species and others.

Finally, the big day arrived - and it was a glowing success!
